Namaste! I am honoured to meet you. By visiting, you have made the conscious decision to change your life. And you have come to the right place! My name is Leena Joynat, your yoga instructor.
The journey you are about to embark on will be a very personal experience. It is that personal touch I bring to my classes. Students often come looking for some form of physical therapy. Instead, they question higher truths and discover a brand new Self! Whether spiritual, emotional, mental or physical, these four corners of our lives are fundamental in shaping who we are to find balance and optimal health.
In going through my detox, from bad habits, years of thought patterns, and unpredictable situations through life, I learnt how to find comfort in the discomfort through the training and practice of yoga. For this, I must give thanks to my Master, His Holiness Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
I started my training in India at the Sri Sri School of Yoga, where I did 350hours. The following year, I completed an advanced training of 300 hours in Rishikesh. In searching for knowledge, I was ultimately shaping my future and redefining my career. One might even say; this was my ‘Dharma’ – duty.
Prior to that, I was a qualified teacher of Chemistry, Physics and Biology. I have taught internationally for 10+ years within the education sector. Now I am thrilled to admit that I live a more balanced lifestyle, from a material girl in the material world to a spiritual yogini, finding harmony within the chaos of busy city life.
My students find the practice of yoga healing, but more than that, they finally experience a deep state of rest, discover their love for their body and unleash their true potential. Who knew this would be so powerful?
I am committed to supporting you realize your yoga and health goals by delivering an exclusive experience. The classes will transform you using the teachings and discipline of yoga. They involve the Limbs of Yoga by Patanjali: kriya, asana, pranayama, and meditation. These have been carefully crafted to help you attain the maximum benefits from your practice, based on an authentic approach that many gyms and studios fail to achieve.
As the benefits of yoga are exponential, the more you practice, the more you progress. Therefore, I have designed the classes that require your commitment every month. Having said that: you are welcome to test the waters by signing up for three drop-in classes! I hope you find that I have a calm temperament, friendly personality and my world adventures add a cultural experience to your session.
The sessions are held online in the comfort of your own home. There is a selection of different classes, for your convivence and ability. At the end of the month, a pdf will enable you to practice independently.
The classes are for beginners to experienced yoga practitioners who want to advance in their practice. After all, “yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.” – (The Bhagavad Gita).
My goal is to guide you through this journey.
